Thanks to the incredible support of donors, our Giving Tuesday matching grant has grown to $3,561.59! When matched with your gifts made throughout December, these funds will help transform the lives of the extraordinary Karptsov family, whose story embodies courage, love, and hope.
The Karptsovs have endured unimaginable loss. Their son Yegor tragically died during a rescue mission in eastern Ukraine while evacuating families from the area. Before his untimely passing, Yegor shared a dream with his mother: to adopt a child orphaned by the war. To honor his memory, the Karptsovs not only adopted one child but welcomed a family of four siblings into their home including one child who has cerebral palsy. Despite facing countless challenges and the constant threat of shelling, this family is determined to persist and provide a loving, safe, and warm home environment where their new children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Their selflessness doesn’t stop there. The Karptsov family also supports a shelter for 210 displaced animals, providing food, medical care, and love to creatures left behind by other families evacuating the war.
We’re honored to support this incredible family’s work by providing critical items such as generators, power banks, laptops, small appliances, and other resources to ease their daily struggles.
